Civics class meets the Governor |

Mr Ross's 9th grade Civics class went to the VFW Hall in Coushatta on Friday 16th October to meet Louisiana's Governor Bobby Jindal. Here is a report from one of the students. ********************************************
9th Grade and the Governor We left school last Friday and made our way to the VFW in Coushatta. While there we saw Senator Long , the Mayor and Sheriff of Coushatta plus many other members of the local government. For over an hour Bobby Jindal spoke and presented a check for $135,000 dollars to the Red River Parish water system. We all had a great time and learned much about our state and local government. At the end we took pictures and ate lunch at Dairy Queen. We appreciate all the people who made the trip possible and hope to do it again in the future By, John Lewis |
